How to Create A Privacy Policy Page for SEO?

OK so this might sound like a stupid question, but I do want some advice on this. Razzy recently published a discussion about optimizing your forgettable pages for seo and yes while it makes complete sense to do that I just have a query.

I want to know how to create a privacy policy page for seo?

When I created my privacy policy pages I just did an online search for how to do it and the information I came up with was to find a free privacy policy page that I can copy paste to my website.

Then since this content is duplicate content to make that page as not to be indexed by search engines.

Now I can see the value in what Razzy has said and while I would love to optimize my privacy policy page I want to know how I can do this while keeping with the legal requirements for a privacy policy.

I am not a lawyer and I would rather have my privacy policy legally correct than have a privacy policy juiced up for SEO and getting traffic and then land up in trouble!

Is there maybe a seller here that specializes in creating legally correcy, SEO juicy privacy policies?

Have a custom privacy policy page but you don't need to optimize it, Lynne. As Mike pointed out, you won't really rank for it, I mean, I doubt any privacy policy page gets any decent organic traffic!

So don't worry about these generic pages, you need to have them, at most implement a custom title tag and meta description with your SEO wordpress plugin but that's pretty much everything you can do.
I personally never put too much effort into these type of pages.

Thanks Cristian, Razzy says there is a possibility of getting traffic from "forgettable" pages like your privacy policy, contact page etc.... I'm going to do it anyway just to see if it makes a difference How to Create A Privacy Policy Page for SEO?

I'm sure it won't get a huge amount of traffic but if it juices up my SEO a little that makes me happy.

I guess the existing privacy policy that we find in decent websites will suffice with our needs because it can be considered standard. I don’t think any site owner would go to the extent of hiring a lawyer to craft a privacy policy for the site. Perhaps you can check the privacy policy of big sites with authority that you can take their word for it and use it for your own site. I understand the consequences if there would be a legal problem but I don’t think you need to be concerned with that for now.
