The truth about buying SEO and Online Marketing leads.

So many times I've fallen victim to these "lead generation" websites because their pitch is just too good. Normally they want something like 50 initial leads to start at $25 to $25 a piece, so basically you're investing $750+ just to test something out. This is completely ridiculous because it's not like they're generating quality leads, if they were, the leads would be $250+ easily. Hell, you'd probably be able to sell guaranteed leads who are wanting to sign up immediately for $750+

I know that if I was guaranteed a sign up and 1 year contract from a lead generation company, I would be paying $3,000+ per lead lol The truth about buying SEO and Online Marketing leads.

But these $25 to $25 leads are generated through email spam and most companies who respond with "No thanks" or something that makes it sound like they're vaguly interested like "send more info" are qualified as leads to these companies and you pay for them. I had one of my leads come back and they claimed they never signed up for more info on a form for SEO or Online Marketing. I apologized for emailing them and went on my way to the lead generation company. I asked them to forward me the emails they were sending to this company and the responses so that I could help them increase the conversions. The email that was sent out to potential clients looked like a 1st grader wrote it and the response my "lead" came back with was literally "Remove me from your list" AND THAT'S WHAT THEY CONSIDER A LEAD!!!! lol.

Now whenever I get an email from these companies I'll tell them that I'll pay per lead that signs up with me. I even told them I'd give them $450 per lead that signs up and they were not interested even a little. Them not being interested in $450 per client acquisition and would rather get $25 to $25 a lead just shows how good these leads usually are... they're garbage lol. If each lead was interested in signing up, I would be able to close them pretty easily since I can speak words of gold into someones ear in order for them to sign up, but these people usually aren't interested, which is pretty shady by the lead generation companies.

There is not easy button for us to press and these lead generation companies want you to think there is.

You'll have to get out there and generate your own leads. Bust your ass and make some money The truth about buying SEO and Online Marketing leads.

Razzy this is brilliant because it is so true. I can tell that I have obviously been added to lead generation lists because of all the emails I receive and it annoys the hell out of me!

I can just imagine how people are marketing these red hot leads to people. What a shame isn't it?

I've also replied to loads of these emails telling them to remove me because there is no unsubscribe options. I think it was Mike that said when I do this I am considered even more of a "hot lead" because I am "responsive". Oh so bad!

I agree with all of this. My thought is usually what makes a lead well a lead? I tend to think most lead businesses do spam the hell out of people by emailing irrelevant spammy ads to people, as Lynne is mentioning. I do not want to "Increase my size", "Save on Summer Deals!", or "Drop 7 lbs a week" (this is spam i get in my email typically from people whom sell email addresses)

I often unsubscribe, but it generally does nothing, these websites do not comply to unsubscribe requests, in fact they mark you as active, anad spam the hell out of you more. I wonder if there is truly a way to stop with all the email spam that goes on. . .

There is no easy button to press for pretty much nothing in the online marketing world! Everything must be earned through hard but also smart work.
But, regarding your problem, I don't really understand one thing, if they aren't interested (those crappy leads) how are why are they still signing? up? Are they bots or real people?

I have never paid for SEO or leads. Since I have a basic knowledge of SEO, I do SEO for my websites. My SEO may not take my websites to the first page or second, the third page for that matter, however, I am quite happy with the results. I might get on the first page of I use expert's service. However, it cost a lot of money and being on the first page does not mean you will start learning hundreds of dollars every day.
