Do you, or did you, like it?
I may just have to test them both out at the same time to see if I can get them working well together and then post a tutorial here

I would have to keep my computer open/on at my house 24/7 and convince the people where I was to download teamviewer so that I could log into my computer and access my software lol. And even then I'd run into problems because I would need to allow my own access from my house. I guess I could do a remote access like how I use to access my servers over seas when I had them for all my software, but even then I'd need to remember my remote access info and my software login. Web based systems result in a lot less headaches
I've never even heard of Buffer before lol :D Do you, or did you, like it?
I've checked out mass planner, but haven't looked at it for at least a year now. When I did check it out it looked more of a social media marketing tool and not a social media management tool for the profiles you had already created. Hmmmm maybe if you combine hootsuite and mass planner you can hit social media pretty hard :D I may just have to test them both out at the same time to see if I can get them working well together and then post a tutorial here :D :D
I've never really been a huge fan of software until I started using them for SEO purposes. I do like the fact that I can access web based systems from any computer as long as I remember my login info. If I go over to a friends house and have to manage something due to an emergency, I can't do that with software :( I would have to keep my computer open/on at my house 24/7 and convince the people where I was to download teamviewer so that I could log into my computer and access my software lol. However before you go and check them out I suggest you have a look at Mass Planner too. They are $14.95 per month and you can connect 2 profiles per social network (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest and Instagram).
The only thing that I am not so keen on with Mass Planner is that it is software that I download to my computer on all the time and connected to the internet, whereas Buffer and Hootsuite are online. I much prefer online tools to downloadable software!
But Mass Planner is much more powerful and useful to me. It can find groups and join them, plus send out marketing campaigns to a large number of groups at a time.
On top of this I can add multiple campaigns and multiple distribution lists to suit my needs. One of the things I like the most is the fact that I can set my posts to be added back into the list in my campaign meaning that I don't have to spend another day adding my content in next month! All I have to do when I create new content is add it into the relevant campaign to be sent out forever!
Check it out, they do have a 5 day free trial. It is a pain in the ass to set up at first, but well worth the effort! Thanks Razzy for sharing this great tool! I used Buffer for a good few years and it seems to me that Hootsuite and Buffer are very similar in what they offer and their pricing.
