Business or Personal Paypal?

Is it safe enough to use personal Paypal account or worth the risk to upgrade to business Paypal? Will you get any better benefits or protections with a business account?

Personally I have more preference in using my personal pay pal account I do not see the need to upgrade to business my personal account gets the job done just fine now I can say this much if I ever plan on doing a real big expansion on my business or any work that I have going on to the point where I am going to have to upgrade my pay pal to business to fit my needs and at that point is when I feel you should separate pay pal and business you have to be really expanded in my opinion operations have to be a littler larger in order for business to be relevant

I have a fully verified Premier Paypal account. I do not see it fit to use a Business Paypal account as I don't really own a business, I utilize platforms such as Ionicware, Inc. Marketplaces and I guess my brand or business name is my actual name? I read somewhere that if you do business under a name, then that name becomes your legal business name, or something along those lines. I'll have to brush up on my legality of that some time in the future. However, as I already mentioned, my Paypal account is a Premier account, but I do use the Paypal Debit Mastercard.

Are Premier accounts still available? Because the only option I could find was to upgrade to a business account, and I do not want that as I do not feel I am an entrepreneur or business person. Besides I do not have any business name? I currently have a personal account and am not sure if that is the best option as personal accounts are more suited to those who buy things online, rather than for me that I receive payments too. But I am not sure how to upgrade to premier, and if it requires any business name too?

I think so, last time i checked i had to go through the old paypal template. I'm not sure what they did in regards to the account types, if they removed premierr or not.. but they should at least just give everyone a basic account, and then list the option to upgrade if the user sees fit to do so.

I haven't had any troubles, and last time I checked my account was fully limitless. I actually called the Paypal support number and asked if there was any limits on my account, and was told there wasn't any limits. So im thinking basic and premier is the same thing, business accounts just get more fees really.

Hi sanfora thanks for your question. Business PayPal and personal PayPal actually depend of purpose of using. I have been using personal PayPal and full verified and I never require business PayPal at all. And I can manage everything by one PayPal for any online transition. But, as per as I know, for big business purpose business PayPal account very handy to secure purpose. Because, you cannot turn over so much amount of money in a month or years for personal PayPal account. On the other hand for business PayPal account you have no limit to transition. It is just a vital different between both accounts.

No point in having a business paypal I don't really have a direct legal business. Personal paypal account is enough for me. I'm fully verified with all the restrictions remove so I don't see any reason to upgrade anytime soon.

I have a business paypal account because I have a registered business. I have never really looked into what is the best to have. I just thought if I have a business I should have a business account.

I am a little bit confused by your question about security, what sort of risk do you think you are taking with having a business Paypal account? As far as I can see there is no risk with Paypal, whether it is a Business, Premier or a Personal account?

I have a business paypal account. I don't know for how long I've had it, but I've had it for years now. I had to upgrade it as paypal forced me too. Well, I felt that way at least. I got an average about .. I don't know, perhaps $750 per week or so, in multiple payments.. And after 3-4 weeks they "locked" my account and froze my funds. I upgraded to a business account and I've never had any issues at all since then. I've probably had it for 5 years now.

paypal has a limited functionality in my home country. We can create an account, but cannot fund the account or withdraw money. Since paypal has a limited functionality in my home country, I have never considered to upgrade my paypal account. However, when my business picks up and I manage to earn money through selling, I might upgrade to business account.

Since I don't do much with my PayPal, I feel it is safe to use a personal account. I receive payments but not frequently. A business account has special features but I won't be using them since I don't own a business right now.

So I feel both accounts are safe and you should own and use the one you really need.

Can someone send you money from personal account? Since I am a freelancer I used the business account but I am planning to have personal account. I heard from a youtuber that its better to use the personal account because if you withdraw your money to your debit it only pay less amount. I don't know how true is that.

I really don't know what kind of PayPal I have, I think it's a business one. I really have to check on that. But from what I know, I can send and receive money, I can receive payments and other things. What's important is that I never had any problems with my PayPal account, it's trustworthy and dependable.
