How do you make the right choice for outsourcing?

You know working for your self can be really easy and some times really annoying as there are certain things i am pretty sure that either you do not know how to do as good as you want or you just do not have the time to do. So you out source correct? How do you go about weeding out the proper options for the service you are looking to out source? You cant just go for any old thing you know. So i want to know from my fellow freelancers what are some steps you guys take when it comes to outsourcing? Choosing the right worker, service, etc.

I still have two guys on my payroll, I give them some non-important work to complete from time to time when I'm full. If you want to outsource I guess you also want to turn a profit around right?

So this means you won't be able to pay quality people to do quality work, because you'll keep rates down. So the way I see it is that you have no choice but to hire less skillful people but with a desire to learn and make money.
I did this with my guys. Trained them the first few times, lost some money and some clients, but I kept showing them the ropes and they eventually manage to complete a decent project on their own. Still lower quality than I hoped for, but nevertheless decent work that can I outsource.
In the end, I'm happy to turn a profit around and they're happy to earn money.

wow that is really cool to hear man, honestly when i said out sourcing i just mean it as in reaching out for certain services that you know you would need help on but you managed to take it to another level you created the jobs for the people you choose to out source from and that is great true definition of a leader right there man respect it to the fullest, now you get great decent work with out breaking your pockets every one benefits especially if you have good workers. so i feel like you are really on to some thing man keep up the good work

Well yes, both them and I make a profit, but I need to expand, develop new services and campaigns. Problem is, such ideas are hard to come by...

well that is great for you man as long as what ventures you are involved in are prospering i think that is all that matters people do spend time putting effort and money and time into things that are just a waste but you have manage to find some thing that works, as far as ideas just give it time continue doing what you are good at and something will find its way to the surface if any thing you might just want to keep an eye out by your area of work and who knows you might stumble across some thing you can branch off with . patience

Did you pay your outsource during the time that you are training them? If not then I guess they are good people who are willing to learn and willing to work for you with dedication. Whenever I would hire an employee in our office, I am always looking for the attitude and not much on the knowledge because we can teach them the skills but we cannot teach them the right attitude especially towards work.

I haven't outsourced much work, I have only purchased a few SEO packages here.

I first search for services I am interested in and check the pricing and the details in the description. I ignore all services that are badly written or that are too expensive or too cheap.

Then I check out the sellers. I like to see that they have a good rating and I just check out their profile. If I am interested I will send a private message and chat to them about my websites and the services I am needing. I like to get a feel for the person.

Once I have decided to try someone out I order a small service first that I can monitor the quality of work and how the seller engages with me.

I am soon about so start outsourcing some content writing, which I am quite excited about. I have spent a lot of time vetting sellers and I have made my choice. I am going to start off slowly and see how it goes.

I like that Lynne you take you time i know to many people personally that are quick to jump the gun and just go with what ever looks good at first sight and you know that can some times be a major set back , it is not always good to go with what you see first and some one who values her options is definitely on the right path, i try to do the same you know when searching for a service i try to make sure i get the best of the best for my buck and truthfully that is what it is all about.

I outsource a lot since I have a ton of work to do each day. With every client I gain I have to outsource something because if I didn't, I would fall behind in work and a lot of people would be pissed since their campaigns aren't hitting the milestones I set.

Usually I'll outsource my content creation so that I can focus on the harder stuff like on page optimization and off page optimization. Usually they won't access a clients website and write content, I'll do that to avoid random people logging into the clients server. I will have them write up dozens of optimized articles that I'll use for the content marketing and sub page creation on the clients website. Sometimes I'll have my writers do some off page optimization for me in terms of blog posting, forum posting, article marketing, etc.

If I'm going out of town I'll have a friend, who is also in the SEO and Online Marketing field, do the work for me. Sometimes I'll pay him, but usually he does it for free because I help him out a lot with his clients in the same way. If he's busy, I'll take over and guide his campaigns in the right direction.

Picking freelancers to do this with is extremely tough. There are a lot of people out there offering the same services, but not all of them do a great job. I'll usually check their over all rating, check their other services, and check the top 20 reviews on each service since you can get a really good idea of who a person is from strangers talking about them in public How do you make the right choice for outsourcing?

Bookmark a few for each of your outsourcing needs, contact them all and see how quick they respond. Filter your list down to the top 3 per section and then buy their services for buffer pages. Watch the rankings and comb through the reports to see who was the best How do you make the right choice for outsourcing?

well i mean in your case it makes a lot of sense to out source as much as you do you know i can not knock you for the amount of out sourcing it really sounds to me like you are swamped in all honesty , and you know if out sourcing really helps get the jobe done and you are fully aware of what you are doing and how things are getting things done and how it is managed the by all means take advantage of every thing as long as you are making you are not taking losses i think it is ok

Despite the fact that I have days where I am bombarded with work, and some of the stuff is not something that I specialize much in and so I need to spend a longer time researching and so on, I still have decided not to outsource ever again. From past experiences I have had with people who I tried to work with, I have come to the conclusion that most of the time I still end up proofreading, checking and editing the work, and so it is not worthwhile. It is better I do it right teh first time on my own.

yea and you know that can understandable , who would not think like that after dealing with two bad experiences i like how you mention that you take the time to go out your way and even go as to research if you have to i am not even going to lie man i do the exact same thing so i agree completely i do not really out source much i can usually take the time to learn what i have to in order to get a specific job done and if i can it done then i do not see why not do it myself.
