Do you think Voice search will take over typed search?

Voice search is becoming more and more popular as smartphones get smarter. More people the ever at using Voice Search at the moment.

Do you think it will eventually me more popular than traditional searching?
How is this going to influence the SEO world?

I personally think both voice search and typed search will expand further and reach somewhat of an equality.
But nevertheless, as for mobile traffic before it, we should not ignore voice searches from SEO perspective. Ranking and getting traffic from simple answers and simple content will be more and more difficult because the search engines are able to provide that answer instantaneously?, nobody can compete with instant answers given directly from the search engine.

So what is your take on all this?

Hi Cristian thanks for asking question. I never think voice search take over type search at least within some years. I do not know what will happen next distance future. For me I always prefer type search and it is working fine too rather than voice search. For example: If you try to search anything by voice call. Exact search term will not working due to accent of English. Because, non English speaker countries people cannot pronounce exactly. And you may see some wrong search term will display on browser. But, by typing search you can search anything without getting such type of error.

So, I think typed search ever best for me.

I think typed search will always be used and popular. I am not even familiar with Voice Search yet. I've never used it but maybe I should give it a go and try it out.

It will be very interesting to see how Voice Search changes the game.

What type of smartphone are you using? Say Ok Google for android and ask for Siri if you have an iphone.
I think voice search is more popular in the USA compared with the rest of the world though. Curious if any sort of related stats exist...

i agree you know voice searching is not really as accurate as just typing your search in could be you know i can understand why it is so popular i really can every thing is easier if you do not got to type it out , and trust me that does make more sense to be able to speak what your trying to say and having your phone recognize it is the best cause it saves you the time of having too type something you know and that is always easier on the user by the end of the day

in my opinion i can say voice search does has it advantages i can not go in to knocking it but type search will always be the default there are some things that your mobile will not pick up when voice searching you know and there is nothing you can do about that honestly you know im pretty sure you have dealt with the issues the same i have you say something and it types out some thing completely different and when you loo back at your phone you can not even recgonize your sentace and that is not good, so in my opiniom type search will always win

I personally prefer typing when searching for something. I used Siri just for fun. It seems that she does not understand whatever I ask, or most of what I ask anyway. So even though it takes a bit longer to type in whatever you are searching, at the end of the day it could be quicker than using voice search as you may have to repeat over and over again until it comprehends you, and that could take a while.
