Google stops Page Rank update of website/link,.if so why? any way forward?

Since the beginning of this year, i have being hearing news that Google has stopped updating websites in terms of their page rank,.please i need to confirm from the house here if they have ever heard about the news and if it is true? And if true, then what is the way forward now? And most importantly how does one monitor the progress of his website since it is mainly determined by increase in Page rank? Please i need your feedback, suggestions, advice, comments. Thank you.

Hi chetaseo thanks for your nice question about Google page rank (PR). Yes you hear right news for anywhere, Google has stopped update over some months. And I think they never chance of their page policy to get back PR system to show on public. So, do not need to wait for them again. And you can monitor your site by PA and DA by several rank tracker. And as per as I know Google very much insist on high quality content for ranking. So, make your site optimized by on-page and off-page SEO. And try to do it manually. Hope you will see impact on search ranking.

Thank you very much. surely since it looks like page rank is gone for good, PA and DA is obviously what i will concentrate on.with that, i do not really need to worry about PR anymore. i will make a thorough research on these ranking software you and idealmike has mentioned and work very well on them. it is surely a good alternative. but i need to ask a question here? how does one determine the PA and DA of his site? any free website that one can use to check it as it is for PR? like for PR, you can use www.prchecker.info to check it for free.

Yes I heard that PR went long time ago. I now focus on page authority and domain authority I think you can use Moz to check

Does using moz comes free or with some payment package? Also how do i get access to ti,. provide provide me with a link to thier website so i can use the moz tool

There are plenty of tools out there that ranks websites. Tools like open site explorer from moz, ahrefs and alexa just to name a few.
Google Page rank is dead for years, stop holding on to the past mate.
In essence you only need such metrics to compare your websites with the competition, otherwise, try to focus more on getting better ranks and improving your website.

I am still in the process of learning the system of Google Page Rank and now it is already passe. My idea about the Page Rank is its use for Google in quick evaluation of the website to be included in the search list. Perhaps the Page Rank is the first filter for the candidate websites. However, it takes time to update the Page Rank and to think that there are millions or billions of websites to be updated in the Page Rank database, it is a big waste of time if the algorithm can take care of everything regarding website ranking in the search list.
