    Anything that isn't in the top 40 at the time lol what your favorite music when you are working? I hear that stuff all the time and it just annoys me if it pops up an a playlist haha.

    I tend to listen to a lot of heavy metal or rock.

    Some bands, groups and singers I listen to while working:
    • All that remains
    • Killswitch engage
    • Rise Against
    • B.O.B.
    • Aloe Blacc


    I'll even listen to a few techno/trance songs as long as it's not all instrumental and has some singing in it. Anything that has a good beat and doesn't annoy the hell out of me will usually get added to my playlist. I have close to 200 songs in my "work playlist" and it jumps genres constantly what your favorite music when you are working?

    Hi Sanfora thanks for asking a question about favorite music in the mean time of freelancing work. I am usually work my freelance job in the office and I may answer to another question what sort of things available in my office and I said there I have two music system and when I fell bore after doing long time work. Either in the work time, I am not listen music as much. And I mostly like very soft music and most of Bengali soft music with low volume. Besides, I have some favorite English music. For example: looking to my eyes (Bryan Adams) straight from my heart (Bryan Adams) I love you more than I can say (Leo Sayer).

    As @hitmeasap has said previously, there was another discussion that was similar and I also replied there, but you're asking for favorite. I really don't have any favorite music I listen to. I tend to think people's favorites change with time, and I don't really have one because I love all music really.

    However, when working I like listening to EDM, Soundscapes, or Ambient music genres. I don't neccessarily have a favorite within those genres, but there's a couple songs I may put on repeat after listening to them. I don't know the names of the songs, and don't want to because I'll just replay them over and over until I get sick of hearing it.. Lol.

    I would like to say that EDM, Soundscapes, and Ambient genres are probably my favorite genre. Usually, I like artists that don't sing but actually creates music. It's weird I know.

    I will mostly listen to either some rap, hip hop, or pop. I like anything that has a really good beat and lyrics. The beat and the lyrics help me to stay motivated while working. I grew up listening to music all the time with my parents, and my brothers and sisters!

    My favorite music to listen to while working is a genre that is very upbeat like hip hop or pop music. When I am working very long shifts I tend to get tired and eager to go home. I would start to lose my motivation and get lazy and my work performance slacks. Music motivates me, especially something I can dance to and get more productive. Just listening to slow music will make me drowsy and bored and that really won't help me work and faster or diligently.

    The sound of my AC humming. I get easily distracted with music. Especially if im writing, i can't seem to focus. I am relaxed but a post that can be done in 5 minute would end up completing in 15 minutes. Worst 30 minutes.

    Light rock or smooth jazz. It can't be anything noisy like heavy metal or with distasteful lyrics like most RAP music. That's too distracting. I prefer instrumentals but music with soothing vocals are OK.

    I like indie rock and if I really need to concentrate I go for film scores. They help me relax, I love to listen to music while I work. If I'm not at my desk w have a little radio on the workstation. There I have to listen to top 40, but it's still nice to enjoy it while working.

    I always listen to songs by Michael Jackson while working. One of the things that I like about listening to his songs is that it has lots of inspiration it comes with.

    In my student days, I couldn’t work on my school assignments without music. Soft music, slow tempo are the types that I want. And although there was a time that I liked some rock music, my preference is still the so called easy-listening music. However, my taste had changed, not in the music genre but in my working style that I don’t need music anymore albeit music seems to interrupt my concentration at work such that I don’t listen to music anymore when I am working. Maybe it is my age huh.

    Music really does make working more fun especially if you can concentrate. While I'm working I like to listen to something fun like pop music and rock music. This gets you in the rhythm of work. It makes you forget for a minute that you are grinding away. This is particularly effective when you are working in the night, it also helps to keep you up, where you may be tempted to snooze a little.

    I enjoy listening to any kind of music when I am working as long as it is not too mainstream. On Spotify, I have my own playlist of songs of various genres. Music helps me to focus as it blocks the noises in the real world.
