Fever

So I have been sick with a fever for the past 3 days. It goes up and down, but I am always so cold. Time to get to the doctor I would say. What do you do when you have a fever? How do you usually control it?

aww! :/

I hope you are feeling better soon.

I got really sick back in November first with a cold and then bronchitis. And, though I had a lot of bad coughing I don't remember having a fever.

Usually I would just take a medicine that is designed to reduce fever.

Though I read somewhere that you can naturally reduce fever by adding baking soda (powder) to warm water tub and soaking in it.

I have not tried that idea but really the idea as a warm bath is always very relaxing anyway.

For sure if you are having chills, please go to the doctor, it could be viral.

Also to stay comfortable try hot tea, hot soup, anything that would heat you up from the inside out.

Beverly those all sound like nice tips that you have given. I have not had a fever in a while but do know how uncomfortable they can be.

Fevers are the worst. I have found that using a cool cloth on the head will help to lower them.

I hate fevers. It is one thing that scares me when they get too high!

Look, the best thing you can do is boost your immunity. Get Barleans Olive Leaf Complex, Colloidal Silver, Vitamin C, and Zinc.

Barleans is the strongest antioxidant on the market, with an ORAC rating of like 7800.

Colloidal silver is another great immune booster. I use "Sovereign Silver" brand because it's 100% safe. They have one horror story on the we where a man turned himself blue from taking colloidal silver. What they don't tell you is that the man tried to make it himself and screwed up the recipe. I buy it.

Vitamin C and Zinc are essential to the immune system. The Zinc is for enhancing the vitamin c effects.

IF YOU DO THIS LITTLE TREATMENT PLAN I SET OUT, YOU WILL BE BETTER WITHIN 24 HOURS.

Yeah, that's the one that caught my attention too. My dad grew up on a farm and said that his grandmother used that remedy on all her children when they were sick. He said it tasted horrible. :/

Dress warmly, but not so much that you start to sweat, otherwise you will get chills and sicker. A fever is only the body's way of fighting infection so you should not try to reduce it too much. Just stay comfortable and hydrate well and your body will take care of itself.

Don't be afraid to work out even when you are sick as exercise is a proven immune booster and will help your body rid itself of toxins. You can workout indoors in safety of a climate controlled area. This will be safer if you have a fever. Most importantly get rest to give your body time to naturally heal. See the doctor if your fever persists.

If a fever is that high, should you work out? Will it make it so you are easily fatigued? Any time I have had a fever, I get extremely tired.

I would just stay in bed covered up, especially if there were chills. I don't think it would be safe to do otherwise.

From what I have heard, the taste is not very pleasant! And, really I don't care how effective it is, I'm not likely to try it. I think there would be other natural options that work better.

There is! I just came across this stuff, "Barlean's Olive Leaf complex". The liquid form. I've cured myself of bronchitis in under 24 hrs with it! I've used it on my kids anytime they get the sniffles. Everything I have tested it with, it has cured in about 24-48 hrs. By 24hrs you feel 90%.

The key is the ORAC rating being 7600, making it the strongest anti oxidant on the market! The best part, it's all natural Fever

wow! That is amazing! And, you know I had the worst case of bronchitis this past November. I was in SO much pain. It was insane. I could not stop coughing, my ribs hurt on both sides and OTC meds just made it worse. (I always have a bad reaction to OTC meds anyway).

I am seriously going to find out where this stuff is sold and add it to my medicine cabinet. Thank you so much! Fever

Push the fluids, and get tons of sleep. My mom used to swear by gelatin water as well.

I guess that might be the effects of malaria. So, going to your doctor can really help to solve such issue. I don't know of a natural way to help solve those issues anyway.

Whenever i have fever, honestly I take a pill, it can be aspirin or Tylenol. Also, I take a warm water shower, and get under some blankets. Try to keep me hydrated, have some hot soup, and use fresh clothes. Usually fever can be due to some virus, or cold, but if it lasts for more than 2 days, I honestly rather go to the doctor for some checking.
