    What would you do if you found an offensive video on Youtube?

    If you found an offensive video on Youtube, would you report it or just move on?

    This is not a morals issue. There are clear cut guidelines on Youtube TOS as to what is considered an offensive video. For instance, racist, animal cruelty and bullying videos are against Youtube TOS and therefore considered offensive (just to name a few).

    If you find an offensive video, you have a responsibility to report it to Youtube so that it can be removed. What if you found a video with animal cruelty and let it stay up, saying, 'Its not my business to report' and a child saw that? You would be responsible for that child seeing the video. Don't be like that. Just report the video so the channel owner can be penalized.

    But, what if a video is offensive to you and not others? Maybe you are just easily offended. So why should that give you the right to report another person's videos just because what they're saying goes against your own sensibilities?

    If something is just distasteful but might not offend others, you can just safely move on and not watch that video again. S ome crude humor would be offensive to one person, but not another and might not really be against Youtube TOS. For that reason, just use your best judgment on what is offensive and what is just distasteful.

    I don’t want to sound irresponsible but why would I exert an effort to report an offending video? And what if I had reported it and I was mistaken in understanding what I had viewed? That would be a case against me. In those cases, I just let them be with the thought that some other good Samaritan will do the reporting. Pardon me if I sound cynical but I am just being practical for my own good.
