Why are some Youtube videos deleted, while others are not?

On Youtube, there are many older movies available to watch. So I thought why not upload a few of my own to share with friends and family. But, within a few minutes of uploading my videos, they were taken down and my account was given a warning. Why is Youtube so hypocritical, allowing some Hollywood movies to stay up on site, but not others?

Your competition reported you for having similar videos. That's why their videos are still up and yours have been removed. Very ironic how Youtube doesn't make any real efforts to patrol the site and only responds to reported videos.

I agree with the above statement, but also keep in mind, if they suspect anything that could be seen as fake ( comments, followers/subscribers, etc), you will likely get banned.

Every social site is cracking down on anything that could be viewed as fake. Beware!

maybe your videos contain illegal content or it has violated some terms and conditions or maybe it contains fake viewers or suspicious things.

Also apart from what i posted above, you need to update fresh content to your video and respond to comments, issues tips to ensure that you didnt just abandon your video and go and also to be active.

Youtube is a user driven site and that's also true of content moderation. While some content is automatically blocked from being uploaded, other content will bypass censors (or content moderating algorithms) and that content will only be found by users who report it. If you see a movie on site that belongs to someone else, you can report it, otherwise it will likely stay up for a long time.

If you don't adhere to Adsense and youtube policy, your videos will be deleted. When you were creating youtube and adsense account, you signed an agreement that you will abide these guidelines.
Porn, weapons, drugs are not allowed. using other inellectual properties, such as music, visuals are also prohibited on youtube.

All websites have their own policies and a set of policy is imperative for social media network or forums because it involves people who are strangers. Youtube is a social media network that is a depository of videos. It is open to anyone and the rules are made to protect their site. When you upload a video that does not conform to the rules then it will surely be deleted. One bad video is pornographic video and another is a video with full of violence.
