    Like other humor related Facebook pages (make sure you are liking/commenting logged in as your page admin). Then your page title will appear on the likes section to the side on the page you liked. This is very good advertising for your humor related page. Same goes for comments, they advertise your page, just be sure you are saying something worthwhile on other people's page.

    Add more friends in your fb account, keep posting and you ll get more visitors and if your page is good you ll get more likes and similarly keeping posting(not more than 4) in your fan page and engage your fans with events so that you get more likes. For initial push up you can go for facebook ads to promote your page(spend little for initial recognition of your page)

    You can build links of your Facebook page too, this way it would have high ranking and people would be able to find you in search engine.

    Ask more people to like your page. Suggest that they like it, I know that you can do this. I am sure that it will work for you.

    To promote Facebook page, try to add more friends, always be active, participate in quizzes,surveys,Q/A, etc. Join some active and live groups, also create your own group and get more members in that group.

    One of the best ways is to just buy some traffic for it and put the link in your signature on other websites. That way, people will see it. Also use it as your email signature and possibly even your phone signature so that it is put around a lot. Then you know people will see it.

    2. Add a Like box in your website/blog
    3. Put your fan page URL on your Twitter profile background
    4. Ask your Twitter followers to join your fan page
    5. Put a link on your personal Facebook profile

    go to fb groups where people exchange likes.... it is a good way to get real likes... always like other people's pages also otherwise they'll remove their likes.... sure way to get likes...

    I think your Facebook page is easy to promote because humoris a universal subject. I also had a friend who created a humor page before. What he did was to post the funny article with photo on the page and then he would post the link on his timeline with an excerpt from the page. In a week, he already had more than a hundred active followers who were liking and commenting on his posts. However, the posting should be regular since the followers are treating the humor page like the cartoon strip in the newspaper. And when there is no post, some followers would be asking why there is no joke for the day.
