How unique does content have to be?

I'm planning to take some articles from one blog and paste them onto my new blog. I'm not sure if I should just shut down the original blog so that I can reuse these articles without revision or rewrite the articles. Then again, maybe it's no big deal if I reuse these articles or not. After all this is my content, so why should I have to rewrite it?

Just need to know how unique does the content on my new blog have to be?

To be on the safe side, if you can spun the articles and post them to your new blog, that will help to an extent, but it pays more if the articles are unique on the new blog so that it can get google friendly.

If possible your content must be 100 percent unique. Once I published an article about "Homosexuality." The article was based on my offline and online research. I read dozens of research papers and books before writing the article. For a long time the article was at the #1 on Google. If you have unique content, you will be ranked higher, you will even generate a huge traffic. My article received around 500 views daily.

A unique article means it has not duplicate, even only part of it. Duplicate content means it is copied from another website or even in your own website. My suggestion is for you to rewrite that article that you want to reuse. It is better when you rewrite because it will be considered original and unique unless you will be copying portions. That’s the work that freelancers can do, rewrite articles so they will look brand new.

A unique article designed and written for a particular popular niche would receive higher views than a unique article of a not so popular niche.
