    Does Bing Use Yahoo? (or Other Way Around?)

    When you do a web search on the Bing search engine, are you really just viewing results from the Yahoo search engine? or Is it the other way around.. Does the Yahoo search engine use Bing to find results? or Am I wrong about both and they are completely separate search engines? I am sure im right though with one of my first 2 points in that one of the uses the other. Does Bing Use Yahoo? (or Other Way Around?)

    Other way around. Yahoo uses Bing search. If you scroll to the bottom of yahoo search results, you'll see Powered by Bing.

    Ah, cool, thanks for clearing this up for me. Does Bing Use Yahoo? (or Other Way Around?) Did Yahoo ever have their own? or Have they always just used Bing to get their results?

    At one time, Yahoo provided their own search algorithm and results and not affiliate with Bing. Just seems now it's more economical to allow Bing to do the heavy lifting of providing search results so Yahoo can concentrate on other money making ventures.

    May I have a clarification on the issue of Yahoo and Bing? If I remember correctly, Yahoo was bought by Verizon a couple of years ago. And now there is a comment that says Yahoo is powered by Bing and there is a partnership of the 2 search engines. I am confused, honest. Have they a plan to conspire against Google? From what I see, Google is number 1 not because it is the fastest search engine but more on the relevance of its search results to the keyword that the searcher is searching for.

    The way I see it Yahoo is powered by Bing so you'll be searching on yahoo and Bing which is a search engine owned by Microsoft will be the one to supply the results
