    Adsense ads not matching blog content

    On some of my blogs, the Adsense ads don't match the blog content. And, this is very annoying. And, I think it affects earnings potential from Adsense. Is there a way to make my blog only show ads related to my blog content/

    Could be you have your Adsense set to show ads that match a user's interests (such as sites they have recently visited) rather than the content matching ads. There will be higher click through for user interest ads but the pay out will be lower. If you are really concerned, make the changes in your Adsense control panel and see if your click-throughs to payment ratio increases.

    I do not have much experience with adsense but I would find it very annoying as well. Surly there is something that you can do.

    I will give you an example of what is going on. On that specific blog, they always want to show ads for tattoos. But, that blog is about mom and child topics. And it has nothing to do with tattoos. I have been over and over the HTML of the blog template and cannot find any reference to tattoos or anything related. I'm guessing there is some type of wording in the HTML of the template that is causing it to show these ads.

    You can stop them from showing up in your adsense account.
    Two options:
    1. You may change from "user interest" to "content match"
    2. You may keep "user interest" and skip all ads and/or companies you don't want to be shown individually in the presented ads section.

    You can also try channels. These are groups that you create where publishers get to decide if they want their ads to appear on your site or not. U get to put a description for them to read and u get to choose which ads they are applicable to.

    Yeah, I changed the theme and the adsense setting, it auto matched the ads with my articles

    I use Adsense. I will answer your question based on my experience.
    Adsense is contextual advertising program from Google. When you have Adsense, Google will place ads based on the keywords you have used in your contents (Ad niche will always match with the content niche). In other words, ads will be in line with the content. However, if your content do not have any specific keywords or have not been optimized for the search engines, Google will have difficulty with understanding your niche. In that case Google will put random ads.
