How Do I Know A Article Is Original?

I am interested in buying some articles over in the content area here at Digital but have not ever bought articles/content before from anyone or anywhere. How do I KNOW what I am buying is original/organic? For me to post a "copied" article on any of my sites would have a dire price for me, as of the line I work I do. My reputation and therefore business would suffer greatly!
Also how do I know that if it is original that the seller won't also sell same article to someone else after I buy it?

There are many free tools online including Copyscape and SmallSEO tools that will tell you if the article is copied.
By the way, are you purchasing the article here from someone on Seocheckout or from another site?

Sometime searching in Google helps too. If its copied, you can get the original source also.

You can take a small sample of the article such as ten words and enter that on Google search. Be sure to enter the text in parenthesis so you can see if it appears exactly on any other site.

A lot of people use Copyscape (paid). Grammarly also has a plagiarism check module, even though the free version won't tell you if the entire article is plagiarized, or just a single colloquial phrase like ''let's get the basics out of the way' has been marked as plagiarism, which in itself is not plagiarism, so you'll have to buy membership. Alternatively, you could check the article sentence by sentence in the search engine, but that's an option only if you buy an article or two once in a while.

Dealing with writers is no different from dealing with any other service provider - try to check feedback, reputation, live samples. As a writer, I am opposed to working with teams and intermediaries - whoever is on the other end of chat is not the person who writes the content, so proceed with caution.

Dealing directly with the writer is always the best option as you can directly message them and get a response back rather than having to wait so long as you would when you are just dealing with the middle man or the person who is selling another person's work.

If you regularly purchase articles then I recommend you get Copyscape Premium which is the best in this business. You can check each article for only $2.05 and reject and ask for a replacement from the writer if it is detected as copied content.

More details here : http://www.copyscape.com/premium.php

I no longer trust Copyscape - when I paid for the premium version it had a 15% fail rate at spotting copied content. My test batch was small, admittedly, but the fact that their system does not use live searches put me off: they search against their own maintained indices from the big engines, which they happily admit are not current (or at least they did at the time).

For my needs, I have two plagiarism checks:

1. duplichecker.com (one free guest check, bigger limited number per day when you sign up for free - it seems to be around 20 checks a day). The best one I've found, as it not only compares and tells you where the copied bits are from, but will open those pages and highlight the copy, so you can see if it's just chance or stolen.
2. smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker (free, several checks per day). Less reliable, but a good extra check.

Can copyscape detect spintaxing? Someone can just look at an article and then mix it up to produce something completely different looking than the original. In fact I think even software can do this but I've never looked into this topic myself.

There's very fine line between Plagiarism & well researched articles.
i.e a simple copy paste article of 10 lines or ten well selected line from ten different articles.

So, only Plagiarism checker or copyscape can detect the former, but not the latter one to some extent, for criteria of selection of those lines to deliver one key idea matters

1.Dustball
2. Plagiarism Checker plugin for wordpress
3Checkforplagarism.net
4.Search engine reports

From the above list I got good response from plagiarism checker plugin for wordpress. It's simply best.
