Do you ever feel guilty?

Do you ever feel guilty when you are not working on projects that you have? For example I go camping a lot over the summer and feel bad that I am not at home to deal with my freelancing jobs as I don't have access to the internet.

Taking time off from work is good for your health as you are able to recharge and re-energize and get your thoughts together. The time spent away from the job is important. And, when you return you will be refreshed and ready to go back to work.

You could check into Seocheckout on your smart phone to see what's going on, such as if you have any new orders or private messages and that could alleviate your guilt.

This is a very good point to make, however... Sometimes you need to NOT take you work with you. I check my seocheckout, and emails a lot through the day when we're away, and @Asmodeus says "Really? seocheckout? Now? You're addicted." lol So perhaps sometimes, it's not always a good thing.

We even take our computer with us when we go away for a weekend in the city, so we can "check in" on our stuff. Is that really taking a vacation? LOL

I won't say I feel guilty but more of a loss because I know when once I close my laptop money is passing me by..But I equally know health is wealth with all the money without good health then it worthless. I try not to bother since I can't gain money at least have gain my health through a relaxed vacation. which I believe is a big deal.

Sometimes you just have to leave work at the office but when you work at home that isn't so easily done. But if you are out of the house, the tech should be far far away to prevent temptation.

So long as you have no current pending orders from buyers, you should have no problem with this idea.

A little time away is needed to clear the head and get your thought process together. That's why it's important to have a daily job or hobby that you can engage in away from the freelance work so that when you return you are brimming with good ideas.

If you have freelance jobs that are expected for delivery then you will need to complete them before you leave or make special arrangements with the buyer to postpone the due date until your return. If they are relying on you, then there could be real reason to feel guilt over not working on the project, especially if the other person doesn't even know the status of their order.

If you've been overworking yourself for a few weeks now, then it will be good to get away from the computer.

If you are relaxing and having fun then that's a good thing. Just don't let it put you too far behind on your responsibilities as you will have lots to make up for when you get back to work.

Maybe I also feel guilty wjen I fail to work in a day due to difficulty in accessing the internet. It is an opportunity to earn that is lost. I am learning that freelancing is a dedicated job that you do without holidays. And even if we are on vacation, we still have to work. I am in Taiwan right now for a short vacation and lucky to have free wifi in the hotel.
