Do you think Its Google who leads the SEO strategy?

We all know about SEO but do you know which factors affects SEO, which updates decides about SEO, Is it Google from which the term SEO gets affected. Who leads the strategy for SEO. example : Panda Update. What do you think....

Yes, Google is the biggest search service on the internet. So almost all SEO is for Google and should be done for Google only you can forget the others!

Maybe I have to agree that the SEO work can be focused on Google since the work will also be applicable to other search engines. Google is indeed the giant of them all in search engines that more than 50% of the traffic you get from search engines come from Google that’s why I cannot blame others when they mention Google only instead of search engines. The SEO work discussions are always on Google.

Google is still the number one search engine used all over the world, so optimizing pages for Google is still extremely important. Although it never hurts to make sure your getting good SEO results from Bing and Yahoo as well!

We mostly do SEO for google, however, we should also consider Bing and Yahoo. No doubt, google is ahead in this competition, so we have to optimize our sites for Google first. Penguin is the latest update. Read about that on Seocheckout blog. I've written some posts there.

Not much. But they play a vital role for many SEO companies to increase their revenue. It's better to rank higher in Google than any other search engine.

Since Google is the number 1 site in terms of users and Bing is only number 44, we can conclude that Google is the standard for the SEO. And it seems to me that all the discussions in this site that I had read about SEO, it is Google and nothing else. That’s why it is safe to assume that we are doing the SEO methods in thinking that Google will be favoring our website in the page ranking. And I am guessing that other search engines also give consideration to the SEO methods that we are doing.
