What I exactly do, is socially bookmarking all my web pages including my
home page. I use different bookmarking sites. I always use a ratio of one
bookmark for my inner pages and 4 bookmarks for my home page. Home
page bookmarks should have different anchor texts.
In most cases, the social bookmark title does act as the anchor text for a
bookmarked link. However, for the purposes of bookmarking site account
longevity, I'd recommend using proper titles that contain keywords you want
to target and represent the page you're bookmarking.

It's completely different for every site, and every niche.

The most important thing is to create amazing content that people would naturally want to share and write about.
