    Forum backlinks can be very good if done right. For instance, you'll want to change up your anchor text periodically so it doesn't always say the same thing on every forum. Also, don't keyword spam your signature line and take time to write more details in your forum signature line than just the keywords. For instance, embellish the information with supporting details.

    Yes forum links are good for getting your site noticed and put out there. I know that there are many forums that allow you to have one. But I do agree to post in your like niches. No one likes a spammer.
